ok Keller I'm finally writting one!!! My first to pick would have to be happiness. Everyone needs to be happy in order to function properly and be healthy. My next is integrity, it's being loyal, honest, truthful, having a standard and not wavering on it. Then would be knowledge, education is important because it lasts longer then your job will and people seem to respect you more when you are well educated. Galumphing, it's important to have energy and not idol. Truth, to be honest. Courage, you can do without courage but life will be a lot harder and you'll have a lot more regrets. I don't remember which order you asked this to be in so just so you know it's from greatest to least.

Last week i didn't have a chance to get on and answer the question so as to last weeks question, i use almost all compact florescent bulbs and i recycle. so thats how i help the sustain the earth.

I think first is TRUTH, because to have everything else, you have to be truthful. Then INTEGRITY, because you have to be true to yourself. Next would have to be HAPPINESS, because if your not happy then why do anything. Fourth would have to be COURAGE, because you have to be able to stand up for yourself. Second to last KNOWLEDGE, because if you don't know anything about the world and how it works then you'll never make it and last, but not least, GALUMPHING, because you have to have F...U...N!!!

Integrity, I think that if you can do the right thing when no one's looking, then you will have true satisfaction.
Truth, the ability to be honest is so rare in today's society, and if we were more truthful with each other, things would be a lot easier.
Knowledge, it is important to be aware of the things around us and to be able to have our own ideas along with the ability to support them. People tend to look up to you when you have that ability and know how to use it appropriately.
Courage, being able to stand up for what you believe in brings respect form those you would least expect it from.
Galumphing, no one can really experience life without having the occasional laugh or joyful moment.
And as for happiness, I think that it goes hand in hand with each and every one of these, because true happiness is when you can do what you think is right and still have a good time!!

a tough one....

happiness, whats the point of life if your not happy

truth, you can't have integrity without truth

integrity, it helps you feel good about what you do

courage, to help those who are around you in a time of need

galumphing, you need to relax and enjoy life for what it is

knowledge, it's important, but you don't have to have it to have a good life. the guy working at walmart stocking shelves may not be the brightest but he is happy

1. Happiness--I have quite a lack of it in my life, so if I could find it, happiness would be most important to me.

2. Knowledge--Though most of my teachers think I wouldn't value knowledge since I am absent alot, I always have found learning new things to be a very fun and rewarding experience.

3. Galumphing--As a child, I was extremely energetic and playful, and to regain this trait would make me feel so much better.

4. Courage--Throughout my life, my parents have always made decisions for me, and they were decisions I did not like, so to have the courage to make my own life is something I someday hope to accomplish.

5. Integrity--Being confident in who you are and proud of where you have come from is very valuable in achieving a strong sense of self confidence.

6. Truth--It appears that truth has fallen in last on my list, but only because it is something I feel is not lacking in my life significantly.

Courage-we have courage to be brave.
truth-so we can tell truths.
Happiness- we would be able to be happy.
Knowlege- so we can lern new things like school.
inegrity- so we can be confadint in our selfs

all these thing we have so we can feal good about ourselfs and so many things. i think it would be boring if we didn't have these things at all.

Courage would be first because courage enables a person to face difficulty and danger

Knowledge would be next because it is the fact or state of knowing the perception of fact or truth

Truth would be next because without having truthfulness you couldn't have happiness

Happiness would be next because you need happiness in your life

Integrity would be next because well i don't know what integrity means so its next

Galumphing would be last because to be clumsily would be the thing you need least in your life

You know, I have never really considered what values are MOST important to me, I've just always known what values I have and that they all have a certain degree of importance in my life. This is how I rate these:
1. Integrity: people without integrity usually don't get along well in life. They aren't well respected, and can have a hard time finding and keeping friends and the trust of others.
2.Truth: Personally, I think that having integrity coveres truth, and that telling the truth will inevitably make you happy.
3. Happiness: I don't think that people should be happy ALL the time. In fact, it's good to experience other emotions. It's part of life. But people who are never happy begin to stop living. They get depressed, and in many cases of depression, they take their own life. I think that people should have the attitude that they want to be happy most of the time, and make it a goal to choose to be happy.
4. Knowledge: In this day and age, the more you know, the farther you can get in the world. I also believe, that, in the afterlife, you won't loose all the knowledge you gained here on earth. Wouldn't it be pointless for you to learn and grow here in this life if you weren't going to remember it at all after you die? I suppose that if you don't believe in all that stuff, then this would mean nothing to you. But I do, and I think that everything I learn will help me here, and later.
5.Courage: Running away from everything, never gets you anywhere. If you ever want anything from life, you need the courage to obtain it.
6.Galumphing: You can't POSSIBLY be serious ALL the time. Or I know that I couldn't be. It would kill me! Galumphing makes everything else so much more fun!

Even though these are listed from what I think are their order of importance, they are all very important values, and they all need to be in balance. Having too much of one thing wastes all of your other talents that you could develop. All these things are very important, and some don't work without eachother.

None of those qualities are worth anything anymore. the only one i could see of use would be happiness and knowledge. everything else has been demolished just like our society...

but if i had to put them in order, it would be: Happiness, knowledge, truth, courage, integrity.

Integrity - We aren't people unless we show compassion towards others
Courage - This is vital for us to be able to do anything
Happiness - If your not happy, then what's the point?
Truth - Being kept from the truth is a horrible life
Knowledge - It is important to learn and gain as much information as possible
Galumphing - Still important, but not as much as the others

1. Truth: Above all the things in this list I believe truth is the most important. Where would we be without it. In a world without truth, our lives would lay in ruins around us.

2. Integrity: If we have a firm belief in ourself then going through life is so much easier. Stick to your morals and beliefs. Don't compromise them.

3. Happiness: Who likes being sad? I sure don't. Without happiness we wouldn't have anything to live for. Happiness holds our world up.

4. Galumphing: Galumphing is a key to happiness. We all need to take some time to get away from the rush of things. Take some time to relax and enjoy the fresh air around us. Life only happens once, take the time to enjoy it.

5. Courage: People can go through life with no courage at all but it sure helps. To muster up your strength and grin and bear it takes a lot of effort but has a sweet reward at the end, the satisfaction of knowing you did it.

6. Knowledge: Though I put this one last it is still important. Knowledge leads to wisdom which what gets us through life without killing ourselves. Knowledge itself can do some, but its knowing what to do with that knowledge that gets us through life.

Hmm. You were right Keller, theses are tuff..

1. Knowledge.
2. Happiness.
3. Courage.
4. Truth.
5. Integrity.
6. galumphing.

-I think the more knowledge you have the better and the less easier it is for people to push you around in life.
-Happiness dosent come easy but it is deffinatly a must have to be truly happy is hard to come by in most people.
-The more courage you have to stand up for what is right and to have an opinion that your speaking out is only one form of courage but i think its the best kind.
-Again, truth is another hard thing to come by. However it is still very much needed in life. People who dont tell the truth are often looked down upon and in order for us to stand strong as humans we need to be able to trust one another.
-Integrity is an important one because you need to have faith in your self in order to achive all else. And if you cant do the right thing when no ones looking how will you be able to do diffrent when all eyes are on you?
-Galumphing is a word im still learning so from what i understand its the ability to be energized, playfull and enjoy a good laugh everyday. This could just as easy be at the very top of my list but i think if you are happy then you also protray the quality of a galumphers life.

Happiness, courage, knowledge, and integrity. Galumphing is kinda a strange word so i can't quite rate it yet but i put happiness because you don't need courage, knowledge or integrity to be happy you're just happy. Courge in my book is number two because courage can get you trough many things in life. Knowledge is fairly important but some not so smart people have been successful in life. And integrity is last in my book because lying is a part of life and it just happens.

Courage- Everyone's gotta have it to get ANYWHERE in this piece of crap world these days..

Truth- When your best friends lie, You know you have to value whatever anyone else says is true, It's you got left.

Knowldge. Knowledge is very important. You have to know how to handle things, and how to come across to others. Lots of people at Skyview Have yet to learn about that.

Integrity kind of goes along with the truth in a way. You have to be honest to be whole and who you are.
Galumphing.

Happiness- It's always there in the things above :))

Wow. :[[
This is a stumper Keller.
i gotta admit.
i guess i would say:
Truth--because i think that being honest is the most important thing ever, even if you aren't happy.
happiness-Because It's always good to have a positive attitude.
knowledge--because we want to fight stupidity and Learn how to take care of ourselves, others, and the community.
integrity-because you need it to have courage and it's a wonderful thing to have.
Courage-because you should never be afraid of anyone or anything.[even if that's hard to do.]
And
galumphing-because i have to idea what this means. :]]

Here's how my order goes:
1.Happiness, what's the point of life if your not happy.
2.Knowledge, learning new things is always good.
3.Truth, without having truthfulness you couldn't have happiness.
4.Integrity, being confident in who you are is good.
5.Courage, we need to have courage to make good decisions in our lives.
6.Galumphing, it's nice to relax but there are more important things I think.

Anonymous said...

I would have to say that integrity would be my number one because i think that it is really rare except really special when you find a person that has integrity. I think that all of the rest of them are also really important so it's hard to say which one is more important but if i had to i would have to say courage, truth, happiness, knowledge and then galumphing even though they could all fit in under number two on my list.

Courage is the most important because if you have courage you have everything! your brave and you can accomplish what you want to make your self happy. The truth is always good but not everyone tells it all the time so ya....

In my personal order of importance:
----
Integrity: Moral steadfastness, the ability to stand by your values despite what others may think, is an important part of integrity. To have integrity, which not only affects ourselves, but others, profoundly, we must have the courage to tell the truth, to stand up for what we believe in. So, if you have integrity, you also have some degree of courage, thus integrity can be considered more important than courage.

Courage: Courage is also an essential trait for the whole of our personal lives. If one does not have the courage to tackle the hard times in life, to persevere, they will not make it, much less be happy.

Galumphing: This is also a necessary component to being happy, and in this way is more important than happiness. Play also grants us knowledge in the form of experience.

Happiness: If one is not happy, there is no point to having knowledge and you simply cannot live life to your full potential, and may even cause unhappiness for those around you.

Knowledge: While this has fallen rather low on the list, it is only because someone can be a happy, good person without a formal education. However, we should still take care to learn from the world around us and be aware.

Truth: Although ominously placed last on the list, it is still important, just not always. Truth can be subjective. For example, I may believe evolution/global warming/etc is a truth, but someone else may not. Some personal beliefs that we may feel so strongly in that they we take to be truths are not necessary to living life, and are not truly truth, except by human judgment. We should consider evidence or even faith, not say that a personal belief is "true," nor force in onto others. The idea of telling the truth about an event, however, in my opinion would go under a moral value and our ability to stand by it (integrity).
----

I'm sure that there are multitudes of reasons why this or that element should be higher than another. Many of these are nearly equally important, and it depends if you focus on your own life or how you treat others. A balanced life requires consideration of all of these essential values.

Anonymous said...

In my opinion, I would put these qualities in this order. Happiness, truth, knowledge, integrity, courage, and galumphing. I believe happiness is the most important one. Truth comes before knowledge because without truth, knowledge wouldn't be the same.

Anonymous said...

i can't rate these elements in order because all of these things are important to me and all of them can #1 to me but i can say truth is come first to me coz truth can give us a happiness, knowledge, integrity, courage, galumphing and all of this is important to all of us.the only things that i think why truth is #1 about this if you lie you did'nt get happy and when you mad sometimes you did'nt know something so you do something bad and then you 'll in trouble and then you did'nt relax and sometime you did'nt free but we have our own thinking but becareful of what you choose.

i think that truth is the most important cause without it you wouldn't have true happiness cause when you cant rely on someone to tell you the truth you cant trust them and you cant relax to have a good time then you'd be stressed all the time! which then leads to courage cause it take courage to do what is right no matter what and to make a new friend or discovery or anything, knowledge comes from courage and it takes courage to do anything in life, even getting knowledge which in returns leads to integrity, the will to do it to finish what is started and know your principles and keep to them. Galumphing is very important too cause is leads to discoveries and happiness everyday!! even by accident.

In my opinion, galumphing ties in with 2 things....Happiness and Knowledge...so that is why I chose it to be placed last.

You always need to have integrity and being happy is everything to everyone. You must always be truthful... and knowledge is of great importance to have. Courage is needed to brave dangers of this world...however this can also tie in with Truth. This does so by certain situations taking place in someones life. For example, if someone asked you to do drugs or what your religion was and was going to kill you for it, would you have enough courage to tell the truth? Or would you lie about it and risk it all?

I like all of these qualities so they all matter but knowledge and truth are to me the most important on the list.
